Mail policies at BWGV

The BWGV mail server blocks certain types of files (see list below) as attachments, because they are a potential security risk.

To send a blocked file type use a compression utility (e.g. WinZip or 7zip) to create a compressed archive and set a password to encrypt the archive. (How to set a password on Zip files)

Additionally our mail server blocks large attachments. To share large files, please contact your BWGV responsible or use a appropriate sharing platforms.

Max file size	50 MB (50 000 KB)
Malformed helo/ehlo hostname, forward and reverse DNS lookup	Mails from hosts that don’t have a FQDN helo/ehlo hostname and use incorrect forward-confirmed reverse DNS are not accepted. See wikipedia for Details.

Blocked IP-address and DNS	Dynamic DNS or dynamic IP-addresses, in blacklist listed IP/DNS - you can check your IP here, non-FQDN connections
